TODDLERS at a Sedgefield nursery strode out to raise money for charity.
About 25 children from the Cherry Tree Nursery took part in the annual Foresters Big Toddle for Barnardo's yesterday.
The youngsters, all aged under four, were joined by staff and parents.
The group walked from the nursery to the village cricket field, which they also walked round before having a picnic.
Organisers expect to have raised about £700.
About 60 children from the House of Eden Nursery, at Rushyford, near Newton Aycliffe, are expected to take part in another toddle for Barnardo's on Tuesday. The children, who will all be wearing Barnardo's hats and badges, will leave the nursery at 10.15am for the walk to Chilton and back. Babies in pushchairs and prams will also be sponsored.
