VANDALS have stopped targeting a building site on a Darlington estate, according to developers.
Youths had been plaguing the Moorfield housing development on Firthmoor.
A show home had all its windows broken and security guards complained about abusive taunts from youngsters. In one incident, site workers were shot at with an air rifle.
But at a meeting of Firthmoor Community Partnership Board, Eugien Jaruga, of Keepmoat Partnerships, which is overseeing the development for Barratt Homes and Haslam Homes, said there had been no further problems.
"In terms of issues raised last time I think they have now been tackled. We are making great progress and moving on."
He said sales were going steadily.
The development in Edgemoor Road of more than 400 homes is part of a multi-million pound regeneration of the estate
