A CAR maintenance course has been arranged for people who want to save money on repairs.
The short course is being held by Middlesbrough College, through the Hemlington Initiative Centre.
Staff members Steven Joyce and Ian Brewster, who teach car maintenance, will be the tutors.
Hilary Day, senior contract manager of the Tees Valley Learning and Skills Council, which recently launched the Bite Size Intros scheme, said: "We are using a mix of traditional and less conventional methods to encourage more non-learners to take part in taster sessions to stimulate their interest.
"The courses are being run locally with a clear focus on catering to the specific needs of an area's residents.
"A women's group has already shown interest in attending this session because they lacked the confidence to go it alone armed only with car manuals."
The Motor Vehicle Brite Sparks taster is freely available from June 23. To book a place on the course, telephone free on 0800 138 5513.
