CAMPAIGNERS fighting plans for a bus park at Richmond School will have to wait before the planning authority votes on the controversy.
The school says it needs to improve parking for home-to-school transport, which contributes to traffic jams traffic on Darlington Road.
But residents say the proposals will do nothing to improve safety, and will result in more noise and disturbance, while part of the playing field will be turned into the bus park.
A revised exit has been included on the blueprints following the objections.
The residents are now discussing taking the county council to the Local Government Ombudsman for maladministration, as they said they were not consulted on the changes.
North Yorkshire County Council's planning committee has decided to delay making a decision until some of the issues have been clarified.
Members particularly want to know if buses from neighbouring schools would use the facility.
