AN OPTICIANS in Redcar swung into summer mood at the weekend by holding a beach party - in the shop.
Specsavers' store directors Julie Jones and Julie Breen gave the go-ahead for their nine-strong team to turn up to work on Saturday dressed in shorts, sarongs and skimpy swimsuits.
"As we don't get much sun in England we thought we would enjoy it while we could," said Julie Jones.
"Customers on Saturday were in for a treat. Not only did they get to see us in swimwear, but we were also playing summer tunes and offering refreshments."
Specsavers' mascot, the Green Man, paid a visit to the store to hand out goodie bags. Leaflets were also handed out during the week offering special discounts for eye tests
