POLICE have started an investigation into the death of a teenage girl who attended the same school as a boy suspected to have committed suicide after he was bullied.
The body of 15-year-old Gemma Dimmick was discovered at her home in Ashington, Northumberland.
She attended Hirst High School, in the town, along with Karl Peart, 16, who was found dead in his bed two weeks ago.
He was believed to have taken an overdose of painkillers and alcohol, and had written notes to his parents saying his life had been tormented by bullies.
The headteacher of Hirst High School, Ged Lee, said children were being offered counselling to help them come to terms with the double tragedy.
