ONE of radio's favourite shows will arrive in the North-East next week.
BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time will be recorded at Durham County Cricket Club's Riverside Stadium, at Chester-le-Street, on Monday.
The show first took to the airwaves in 1947 and is one of the world's most enduring radio programmes.
On Monday, people will have a chance to put their gardening queries to its panel of experts, leading organic gardener Bob Flowerdew, landscape gardener John Cushnie and plantsman Roy Lancaster.
The programme-makers also hope to include some questions recorded in the gardens of residents near the Riverside Stadium and surrounding area.
Readers who live in Chester-le-Street and are keen to get involved are asked to contact the programme's assistant producer, Jo King, on (01608) 677777.
Doors open at 6pm and recording begins at 6.45pm. The show will be broadcast on Sunday, July 13, and again on Sunday, August 17, at 2pm.
