NURSES at Darlington Memorial Hospital are taking part in a national fundraising initiative for Macmillan Cancer Care.
The charity has designated tomorrow as Bring £1 to Work Day and is hoping more than 100 organisations will take part.
The nurses at the Pierremont Unit have already pledged their support and will be collecting for the charity all day. Acting modern matron at the unit, Lynn Oliver, said: "Cancer affects all of us, even nurses and patients, so it is our way of contributing to the much needed growth of cancer services in this area."
All money raised in the area will go to help cancer care in the North-East.
Anyone wishing to register to take part tomorrow should ring Wilma Burniston on (01325) 370870
