A MUSIC and activity festival will be held at Gisborough Priory, in Guisborough, later this month.
Daytime highlights on Saturday, June 28, will include a teddy bears' picnic, live music, traditional games, and other family activities. The event will start at 10.30am and finish at 3.30pm when the bells of St Nicholas' Church will be rung. Admission is 50p, or £1 for a family group.
The evening concert, called the Priory Prom, begins at 8pm. Tickets cost £7.50, £5 concessions, and £2.50 children. Visitors will be entertained by the King's Division Waterloo Band playing music from Mozart to The Beatles. The band will be joined by the Darlington Singer of the Year, soprano Sarah Kelly. The musical finale will include all the prom's favourites followed by fireworks display set against the priory ruins. Visitors are advised to bring seating or rugs.
Tickets are available from the Guisborough Tourist Information Centre (01287) 633801 and Saltburn Tourist Information Centre (01287) 622422.
