COMPLEMENTARY therapy services are being expanded at the Pioneering Care Centre, in Newton Aycliffe.
A podiatrist and osteopath are now available, regular counselling sessions have been introduced and, in response to demand, another aromatherapist has joined the team.
The Pioneering Care Partnership, which runs the centre, keeps the price of the complementary therapies service low to make it more accessible. Discounts are available to people on benefits, state pension and disability living allowance. For people registered as carers, a course of six sessions at £5 per session is available. New team members are:
l Aromatherapy: Andrea Lambell - Tuesdays, 9am to 12.30pm, and Fridays, 9am to noon.
l Chiropody: Samantha Towers - Wednesdays, 5.15pm to 8.15pm.
l Counselling: Karen Newbold - Wednesdays, 1.30pm to 5pm.
l Hypnotherapy: Angela Dee; Graham Barker - Call for details.
l Osteopathy: Melanie Rowland - Mondays, 1.30pm to 5pm.
