A SPORTING mother and daughter team has helped young netball players win a coveted trophy.
Coach Sarah Gamblin and her daughter, Alex Worth, are part of the Mowden Junior School team which won the Darlington primary schools' netball tournament last month.
Sarah recently volunteered to assist the team as it prepared for the tournament.
And her efforts paid dividends when the team emerged victorious from the competition, which included more than 200 youngsters.
Year five and six pupils from across the town played "High Five" netball, a recognised version of the sport aimed at seven to 11-year-olds.
