PEOPLE who are worried about their pensions can have their questions answered by experts.
The Government's new pension Service is sending specialists out into communities in Teesside to provide advice on pensions and entitlements.
Advisors will answer questions on pensions, direct payment, minimum income guarantee and the new pension credit which will replace minimum income guarantee in October.
Surgeries are being held on Mondays, between 10am and noon at the Grosmont Close Day Centre, Grosmont Close, Redcar; Tuesdays, between 10am and noon at Age Concern, Dorothy Rose House, 190 Borough Road, Middlesbrough; and Wednesdays, between 10am and 12.30pm at Middlesbrough House, 50 Corporation Road, Middlesbrough. There will be fortnightly Thursday surgeries, from July 3, between 2pm and 4pm at Saltburn Library, Windsor Road, Saltburn.
Surgeries will be held the first Friday of every month, from July 4, at Loftus Library, Hall Grounds, Loftus, between 9.30am and noon.
Karen Pettett, partner liaison manager for the Pension Service in Middlesbrough, said: "We hope pensioners, as well as people approaching pension age, or those who look after pensioners at home, will call at the venues."
