About 80 people attended a fun event organised by the Princess Royal Trust Sedgefield Locality Carers Centre for National Carers Week.

The morning session at Spennymoor Leisure Centre included a series of talks on the theme of this year's week, opportunities for carers.

There were speakers from the public services union Unison, social services and The Learning Shop in Newton Aycliffe, talking about employment and education openings for carers. There were also a series of stalls and displays and a health and exercise demonstration.
