Rock band Fude are through to the play-off final in a battle of the bands.
At the Hartlepool Youth Arts Festival event, the Darlington band will compete with Teesside outfit Rayne for a day's recording session and a live performance in the town's Victory Square.
The showdown, at The Studio, Hartlepool, at 2pm on Saturday, will help to launch the street festival, with the winners returning for a gig at the festival on June 28.
North-East bands Fusion, The Chapters and Kickflip 180 put up strong opposition before Fude and Rayne emerged as the judges' top choices.
TFM Radio representatives Steve Harris and John Kirby will join the judges on Saturday to decide which act will earn a slot alongside bands at the festival. Tickets are £1.50 at the door
