SCHOOLGIRL Rose Orr is off to Harry Potter's school after passing a magical entrance exam.
The 14-year-old, from Newton Hall, Durham, will spend tonight at Hogwarts School where she will enjoy a banquet, see fire-eaters and magicians and enjoy a "wizarding" challenge.
Rose, a pupil at Framwellgate School, Durham City, won the prize after taking a test organised by the Ottakar's bookshop chain, on the JK Rowling stories about the schoolboy wizard, and other fantasy novels.
She will spend the night having a sleepover at Alnwick Castle, Northumberland - one of the settings for the school in the Harry Potter films - with 29 other lucky youngsters from around the country.
They will receive a copy of the new book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, at one minute past midnight tonight, when it goes on sale in the UK.
Five of the fans who pass a series of challenges at the castle over the weekend will also win tickets to the Harry Potter Big Event with the author, at the Albert Hall, in London.
Rose said: "I'm really looking forward to it, especially as we get a copy of the new book."
