PUPILS at a Teesside school have come second in a national European Young Consumer competition.
Norton School, Norton, near Stockton, which came third in the same contest last year, have been praised by organisers, this year.
Their entry had to be submitted digitally on the theme of how to achieve a healthy lifestyle through a balanced diet.
Pupils submitted a spoof of ITV's Tonight with Trevor Macdonald and highlighted health issues.
Richard Jack of Chrystal Presentations, organisers of the contest in the UK, said: "The judges thought that the entry from the Norton School was original, amusing and educational. It was great fun and a pleasure to watch.
"The students had put a tremendous amount of hard work into their project and the final result was highly professional both in terms of the content and presentation."
Headteacher Paul Wray said: "This is only the second year of entering the competition - last year our school came third. Next year will be trying even harder to reach the top placing.''
