MUSICIANS are needed to help create a band in a day this weekend.
Anyone who can play an instrument has been invited by the organisers of Durham Brass Festival to a workshop tomorrow.
Alison Lister, from Durham City Arts, said: "It is primarily for brass musicians, but we are not excluding other musicians.
"There will be a whole range of music and, at the end of the day, they will create one big band based on whoever has turned up."
Anyone wanting to take part is asked to meet at County Hall, in Durham, at 10am.
On Sunday, there will be a brass band concert at the town hall in Durham, to mark the end of the festival.
Trombonist Mark Nightingale and trumpeter Steve Waterman will join the Northern Brass Band and the Ever Ready Brass Band for the concert. They will be conducted by Ray Farr.
Doors open at 7.30pm, and tickets are £8 and £6.
