PEOPLE are being invited to meet their neighbours this weekend.
National Refugee Week will be celebrated with a cultural fun day in Middlesbrough's Stewart Park tomorrow.
More than 20 cultures are expected to be represented at the event.
Organised by the area's four councils, the event is aimed at breaking down barriers and prejudices.
Nadeem Ahmad, manager of the North-East Consortium for Asylum Seeker Services, will open the fun day, which will become an annual event.
