A POLICE chief has vowed there will be no let up in the war against organised crime.
Cleveland Chief Constable Sean Price said: "There will be no place in Cleveland for those who bring misery to our communities."
He was speaking on the second day of Operation Falcon, launched to round up key players in the drugs trade on Teesside.
Eight people were arrested, documents, mobile phones and several thousands of pounds seized and drugs recovered, following raids on 15 addresses across Middlesbrough this week.
Following the initial police swoops, Acting Detective Superintendent Gordon Lang said: "We are delighted with the way the operation went. Searches continued throughout the day until late afternoon and we have achieved the objectives we set."
Mr Price said of the work of the Organised Crime Unit which is carrying out the investigation: "Their operations are long term but we are determined they will continue.''
Falcon was launched to crack a cocaine dealing empire responsible for a region-wide supply and distribution from Teesside.
