A Derwentside District Council scheme funded by the Government has been taking computer technology to isolated rural communities across the district.
The Electronic Village Hall scheme allows people living in Craghead, Burnhope, Langley Park, South Moor, Leadgate and Lanchester to go online.
Funding for the project came from a range of sources, including £38,500 from the Government's Rural Challenge fund.
In association with Durham County Council's Return to Learn Centre, Leadgate Community Centre runs a variety of computer courses for people of all ages, with sessions held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Friday mornings
