POLICE are anxious to trace three men who tricked their way into a pensioner's home by claiming to be from a well-known national company.
The men struck in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, at about 9.30pm to 10pm on Friday.
The pensioner allowed them into the house after they said they were employees of Dynarod investigating a problem with the water supply.
Inside, they rifled through a desk but did not take anything.
Last night, Dynarod said that its employees always wear a company logo, carry identification and use company vehicles - none of which the men had.
Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have had a similar experience, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on (01609) 783131.
