A Cub Scout who first picked up a bow and arrow when he was six has won the County Durham Cub Scouts archery final at Moor House, Durham.
Marcus Lee, nine, of Alwyn Road, Darlington, is a member of the 9th Darlington Cub Scouts.
He scored 203 out of a possible 240 points beating boys of all ages from the area.
Marcus' father, Kevin, who is caretaker at Longfield Community School, said: "I am very proud of him."
Marcus first took up archery as a Beaver Cub at the Scout headquarters in Widdowfield Street, Darlington.
He practises regularly with members of his archery club, The Gentleman and Lady Archers of Darlington.
