POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash that led to a woman being airlifted to hospital.
The accident happened at about 2.15pm on Friday on the A182 in County Durham, where it passes under the A19 west of Easington Village.
A green Toyota Camry left the road, hit the fly-over and travelled back into the road before colliding head-on with a red Ford Mondeo estate.
The Toyota driver, a 35-year-old woman from nearby Seaham, was taken by air ambulance to Sunderland Royal Hospital, although her injuries proved not to be serious.
The Mondeo driver, a 74-year-old man from Horden, suffered arm injuries.
