Paul Shaw and Carl Turner led Esh Winning to a match winning 131 for six in their home fixture with Willington.
Shaw struck no fewer than four sixes and three boundaries in 53, while Turner had one six and three fours contributing 30. Harker claimed two of the wickets for 28 runs in five overs and Walton had three for 40, also from a five overs spell. When they replied Willington could only manage 71 for four which included 25 by Tinkler and 22 from Alderson.
There was a close finish at Brandon where Ushaw Moor won by 13 runs. Batting first Ushaw Moor ended on 94 for eight which included 47 by Andrew Rafferty who hit two boundaries. Guy was also in form with the bat for the visitors and his 37 had one six and two fours while for Brandon Chris Lawson returned the outstanding figures of five wickets for 15 runs in five overs.
Replying Brandon were pegged to 81 for six and their top performer was Stephen Wallace who stroked five fours making 49. Joe Curry took two for 23 and Rafferty two for 27 in the Ushaw Moor attack.
Tudhoe managed only 37 all out after being 35 for three at one stage in their home game with Sedgefield. Boardman did most of the damage claiming six wickets for only 15 runs in five overs. Peter Brown gave support with two for 21, also in a five overs stint and Jonathan Thompson picked up two wickets without conceding a run from the nine bowls he delivered. Luke Jackson with 20 scored most of the runs for Tudhoe.
Sedgefield's 96 for eight included 25 by Boardman and 22 from Lewis Craggs. Ross Hodgson and Jos Harris were both in form with the ball for Tudhoe. Hodgson's five overs produced figures of three for 23 while Harris sent down four overs taking three for 13.
Under-18s
Evenwood had eight wickets to spare in their home fixture with Haughton. When the visitors batted first they ended with 68 for nine as Anthony McMahon claimed three wickets for only 13 runs.
Responding Evenwood quickly accumulated 72 for two as McMahon hit no fewer than five boundaries in 28 not out and Chris Peareth had three fours carrying his bat for 35.
Ushaw Moor hosted Brandon and won by three wickets. Batting first Brandon ended on 88 four which included 34 by Parnaby with three boundaries. Ian Myers was just a run behind his colleague and his 33 included no fewer than six fours while for Ushaw Moor Craig Wilson was the pick of the attack with two for 27 from five overs.
Craig Usher when starred with the bat for Ushaw Moor and had one six and seven fours carrying his bat for 57. Myers was also in form with the ball for Brandon, his 4.5 overs producing figures of four for 17 and Robinson took two for 21 in three overs, but it was Ushaw Moor who came out on top.
Tudhoe defeated Langley Park by ten wickets. They were required to score 103 and openers Tim Smalley with an unbeaten 61 and Jonathan Taylor 37 not out saw their side home without being parted.
When Langley Park made first use of the wickets they finished with 102 for four including 44 by Wilkinson and 28 by Owers.
