THREE gifted musicians are returning to their native North-East to give a concert.
Cellist Martin Johnson, from Yarm, Guisborough-born violinist David Spencer and pianist Stephen Ridley, from Redcar, east Cleveland, formed the Fenice Trio five years ago.
Since then, they have built up a strong following among local classical music lovers. All three are professional musicians and Mr Johnson and Mr Spencer play full time with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.
Mr Ridley, who works as a freelance pianist, is based in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
The trio will perform at Middlesbrough Theatre on Sunday. Their programme will include Beethoven's Ghost Trio, Phantasie by John Ireland, and Dvorak's Piano Trio in F minor.
Over the coming months, they will play to audiences across the north. They also have concert dates in Wales, Ireland and London.
Sunday's show starts at 7.45pm and tickets are available from the box office on (01642) 815181.
