A man who helps coordinate a large variety of music projects has had a chance to show his own talents.
In his first solo outing, Andrew Yeadon, who runs the Teesdale Community Resources Music Project, sang and played his own compositions in Witham Hall, Barnard Castle, County Dur-ham, on Friday, and raised £122 for the hall's redevelopment fund.
An enthusiastic audience enjoyed songs Mr Yeadon has written over the past ten years about personal relationships, philosophy and religion, plus a few covers.
"Being involved with bands necessarily requires a compromise with other musicians, but this new set means I can have it all my own way," said Mr Yeadon, who lives in Newgate.
The second part of the show saw Mr Yeadon back with his old band, Graham the Turtle, made up of Owain Davies on keyboard, Paul Hughes on bass guitar, Mr Yeadon on acoustic guitar and his brother, Robert, on tabla.
