POLICE have issued a description of a man they want to trace in connection with a robbery at a supermarket in Harrogate at the weekend.
The man went into Jackson's store, in King Edward's Drive, Bilton, told staff he had a weapon in a bag he was carrying and demanded cigarettes. He fled on foot, carrying the holdall.
He was described as about 6ft, aged between 35 and 40 with a tanned face and large nose. He was wearing a dark cap, top and trousers.
Anyone who may have seen the man in King Edward's Drive at about 10.50pm on Saturday, or near the shop shortly before the robbery, is asked to contact Harrogate police, on (01423) 539652, or Crimestoppers, on 0800 555111.
