MORE of North Yorkshire's visitor attractions have signed up to join a passport project, which is to be extended after a successful trial.
Visitors who carry the passports have them stamped at member locations and qualify for two-for-one admission to any of a dozen destinations on the tourist trail.
Their names will also be entered into a draw, with a top prize of dinner, bed and breakfast at Thirsk's Golden Fleece Hotel and free admission to the Jorvik Museum in York.
The original passport network includes the Captain Cook Schoolroom Museum in Great Ayton, Mount Grace Priory near Northallerton, Kiplin Hall near Richmond, Big Sheep, Little Cow in Bedale, Monk Park Farm at Bagby, The World of James Herriot in Thirsk, Falconry UK at Sion Hill Hall, the Ritz Cinema in Thirsk, Sutton Park at Sutton-on-the-Forest, Beningbrough Hall near York, Shandy Hall at Coxwold and the Jorvik Museum.
Latest members include the Mouseman Visitor Centre in Kilburn, Heritage Tours at Carlton-in-Cleveland and Wensleydale Railway.
