SUPERMARKET staff celebrated 20 years of trading in Bishop Auckland with a party.
Workers were treated to a large buffet and anniversary cake as Asda celebrated at its new store in South Church Road.
Shoppers were also able to join in the celebrations with face painting, organ music and a raffle.
The store in South Church Road has been trading for a few months, but the company enjoyed almost 20 years at its previous Newgate Centre site.
Twelve members of staff, who have worked for the store chain since it began trading in Bishop Auckland, were each presented with an engraved champagne flute.
Events co-ordinator John Bowman said: "We would like to thank all our customers who have supported us throughout the years."
