A NURSERY is to offer extra places and is poised for expansion after a good start.
The Bright Buttons Nursery, in Fishburn, now has a full set of staff, with manager Debbie Sams and deputy managers Rebecca Drake and Tammy Kinaou joining the team.
Ms Drake is in charge of the baby unit, which has five places in both morning and afternoon sessions and will be at full capacity from September.
The capacity in the Tweeny Room, for two and three-year-olds, has gone up to eight, with two more places from September.
The pre-school unit has free places available for three and four-year-olds, which includes five two-and-a-half hour sessions in the morning and afternoon.
Residents of Fishburn can receive a ten per cent discount from their fees.
The nursery is looking at the possibility of expanding to include an after-school club, following demand from parents, for children aged five to 11 years, if it can find the necessary backing.
Staff try to involve parents and grandparents as much as possible in activities and they are developing links with the local community, including regular visits to the ambulance service and the mobile library.
Miss Sams said: "We have done a questionnaire with parents here and the feedback has been very positive. Everybody has been really impressed with the staff, the service we provide and the care of the children."
