PUPILS and staff at a Stockton school have been praised in a recent Ofsted report.
Fairfield Junior School, which shares a site with the adjoining Fairfield Infant School, has received a report which classes it as a good school with very good features and no significant weaknesses.
The report found the school, which has a mix of 303 boys and girls aged seven to 11, to be well led by the headteacher and teaching staff.
Linda Ross, acting headteacher at the school, said: "Both the teaching staff and the governors lead the school with enthusiasm and a strong moral code with the older pupils setting a good example to others."
Richard Hayes, chairman of the governors at the school, said: "We are very pleased with the report which highlights the strengths and achievements of both teachers and pupils.
"We would like to thank Allen Shaw, the school's former headteacher, and all the staff for their efforts."
