A TEAM of specialists has been appointed to aid the community-led regeneration of North Ormesby.
Tees Valley Housing Group (TVHG) appointed two housing and project management experts to lead the scheme to map out the area's future.
They will work alongside North Ormesby Neighbourhood Action Initiative, a steering group of community representatives, to look at services people want in their area and how they should be delivered.
David Francis is the new neighbourhood manager and he is supported by Jennifer Jones. They are based at a One Stop Shop in King's Road, North Ormesby.
"We are excited about working with the people of North Ormesby to develop a blueprint for the area's future and to see that the services the community wants are put in place," said Mr Francis.
The pilot is scheduled for two years, with funding of £270,000 provided by Middlesbrough's Single Regeneration Budget Partnership and Middlesbrough's Neighbourhood Renewal Fund.
It is one of the Neighbourhood Management Pilot projects run by Middlesbrough Council.
