A sculpture representing a North-East village's mining heritage will be unveiled next month.
The bronze statue of a miner emerging from a coal seam, by artist Keith Maddison, best known for his sculpture of Middlesbrough football legend George Hardwick, is due to be unveiled in Fishburn, County Durham, on July 19, at 11am. Former coalminers are welcome to attend.
