FIVE groups in Hambleton are celebrating receiving a share of £12,697 in National Lottery funding.
Northallerton College has been awarded the maximum amount of £5,000 by the Awards for All scheme.
The college will use the award to fund indoor and outdoor climbing sessions by installing climbing holds on an indoor wall and purchasing equipment.
Hutton Rudby Methodist Church has been awarded £3,583 to help revamp a computer club for young people organised by the church.
The three other groups to be benefit from the scheme are Kirby and Great Broughton Indoor Bowls Club, which was awarded £2,416 for equipment, Stokesley Photographic Society and the North Yorkshire East Federation of Women's Institutes, which gives grants to groups to enable them to improve their communities through sports, arts, heritage and other activities.
