ENIGMATIC French star Laurent Robert has told his bosses at Newcastle United that he has no wish to quit the club.
Robert, who has been linked with a return to Paris St Germain as part of any deal to bring Ronaldinho to Tyneside, also believes the club can accommodate both him and the Brazilian star.
But with Ronaldinho expected to snub the Magpies in favour of Manchester United, French international Robert has reaffirmed his commitment to Sir Bobby Robson's bid to end their 34-year wait for silverware.
He said: "The press said Ronaldinho to Newcastle and me to PSG.
"Newcastle is a big club, so no deal. I do not want to leave
"I love Newcastle, the club, the country and the football.
"My contract makes it possible to stay for another three years, and that would be no problem for me."
Robert also offered his manager a little tactical advice on what to do should Ronaldinho reject the chance to join Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford and instead opt to join the Magpies.
"At Newcastle, Ronaldinho could play in the same side as me," said Robert, who has enjoyed a troubled relationship with both his manager and his teammates while on Tyneside
"He's the best player in the world and my friend. Why not him on the right, me on the left, and Alan Shearer up front." .
Meanwile, Newcastle's run to the second group stage of the Champions League last season netted them £10.8m in prize money.
European governing body UEFA have released the amount each Champions League entrant were handed for their part in last term's competition.
Arsenal edged out Manchester United in the cash stakes, despite not reaching the quarter-finals.
The Old Trafford giants pulled in £14.1m from their European exploits but Arsenal managed £14.5m due to a significantly greater 'market pool' value. The 'market pool' earnings are calculated in part on the previous season's domestic results - when Arsenal won the title - as well as how much national TV companies pay for broadcast rights.
Liverpool earned £9.1m despite being eliminated at the first group stage.
* Lee Bowyer will undergo a medical in Newcastle on Monday. If no problems are encountered, the 26-year-old will officially become a Newcastle United player, having previously agreed a four year contract with the Magpies.
