A CAMPAIGN to reduce the number of children injured in car accidents arrives in York tomorrow.
Experts estimate as many as 75 per cent of child seats are not fitted correctly and could actually injure the youngster they are supposed to protect in a collision.
The City of York Council and York Health Visitors will be outside Asda at Monk's Cross to offer drivers advice and check child seats for safety between 11am and 3pm.
Safety officer Pete Zanzottera said: "Parents get confused by the fitting instructions for child seats, especially if they are in a hurry."
