A VOLUNTEER'S work for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has been recognised at an awards ceremony.
Margaret Procter has been treasurer of the Wensleydale RNLI branch since the Wensleydale Guild and the Lower Wensleydale branch merged in 2000.
Over the years, her duties have also included helping to organise numerous flag days, coffee mornings and village fairs where she has been described as efficient and enthusiastic.
As a result, she was presented with the RNLI's Silver Badge at a ceremony at York Racecourse which was followed by a Midsummer Lunch in the Voltigeur Suite.
