MORE disabled people will have access to training after a college received a £1,000 donation.
The Abbey National Charitable Trust gave the money to Finchale Training College, in Durham, to help buy computer equipment for outreach work.
The college, which was established 60 years ago, has built up expertise and experience in helping disabled people into jobs and boasts a 65 per cent success rate.
Presenting the donation to the college, Lynn Brennen, manager of the Durham branch of Abbey National, said: "I am very glad to be able to make this presentation on behalf of Abbey National Charitable Trust.
"Finchale Training College makes an important contribution to the community, and I hope our support will encourage other companies to help too."
Carl Chapman, from the college, said: "We are very grateful to Abbey National.
"The money will make sure that we can continue to provide top quality training for our students."
