A US tennis club has invited a North-East club to take advantage of a printing error which left it with the wrong name on dozens of T-shirts.
The Bellingham Tennis Club, in Washington DC, had about 100 T-shirts printed for its summer tennis camp.
However, when the shirts returned from the printers it was discovered they had Billingham Tennis Club emblazoned across the front.
Now the owner and manager of the US club would like to offer them to a Billingham tennis club if there is one, and is appealing for anyone who may be a member to contact her.
Robin Robertson, said: "Rather than throw out the shirts, we thought it would be fun to send them on to a Billingham tennis club somewhere in the world. The only stipulation is that the recipient pays for the shipping.
The Bellingham Tennis Club is situated on the coast overlooking the San Juan Islands, and is 20 minutes south of the Canadian border and 90 minutes from Seattle.
The club, which has five indoor courts and 275 members, would like to keep in touch with any group that comes forward to claim the T-shirts.
Ms Robertson said: "We want to pass on these new terrific shirts and, hopefully, make new friends as well."
Anybody who knows of a Billingham club can contact Ms Robertson via The Northern Echo's Stockton office on (01642) 675678.
