Foster's Northumberland League U15s: Tynedale had 36 runs to spare in their home fixture with Ashington.

Batting first, Tynedale ended on 139 for six which included 78 not out by Dan Kirkup while for Ashington, McTaggart claimed three of the six wickets to fall for only 26 runs. Responding, Ashington could only managed 103 for four as Tom Cant took three for only 24 runs.

Tynemouth had 58 runs in hand of Benwell Hill. They set their visitors a target of 129 but Benwell Hill only made 70 for eight as Stephen Harrison captured two for six runs in five overs and Asman Iftikhar picked up three wickets for just 22 runs in is five over spell.

Batting first Tyemouth ended with 128 for four of which Ben Newman scored an unbeaten 40 with five boundaries. He was assisted in the innings by Jamie Coates who struck three fours making 22 while for Benwell Hill Matthew Haves had two for 23 in four overs.

The Readers Durham County League U18s

the programme was badly affected by the weather but the elements did not deter Evenwood's Chris Pareth who scored a century in his side's fixture with Mainsforth. Pareth struck no fewer than six sixes and nine boundaries in 100 and Ryan Nicholson had five fours adding 36 to the Evenwood total of 155 for two.

In reply, Mainsforth's overs produced a total of 114 for four which included 55 by Sweeney. He struck on six and seven fours while Patterson had one six and three boundaries in 43. Ryan Nicholson was among the wickets for Evenwood and his five over spell earned him two for 27.

Brandon defeated Crook Town by nine wickets when they restricted their opponents to 61 and Ushaw Moor had nine runs to spare over Willington. Batting first, Ushaw Moor realised 107 for four of which Craig Usher scored 51 not out and Craig Wilson 31. When they went into bat Willington ended on 98 for seven and Mark Bowey top scored with 33. Christopher Moore added 22 and Elms 24 while for Ushaw Moor Craig Usher had two for 22 and Scott Nattress two for 21.

Bishop Auckland had the better of Newton Aycliffe by a margin of 78 runs and Etherley saw off the challenge from Haughton. When they made first use of the wicket Etherley ended on 165 for four which included 77 by Carl McGregor and 44 from Chris Renshaw. Haughton responded with 113 for eight of which Pritchard made an unbeaten 35 and Irvine 33.

The Readers Durham County League U15s

Esh Winning passed the 200 mark - an unusual feat in the U15 league when they entertained Crook Town. Paul Shaw led the way and he was only four runs short of a century when the overs expired. The youngster hit no fewer than five sixes and nine boundaries carrying his bat for 96 while Carl Turner had one six and six fours in 43 and Tim Callaghan contributed 32 with a couple of sixes and three boundaries.

Esh ended with 225 for three on the board before Crook Town were reduced 55 for five as Turner completed a good night capturing three for only nine runs in five overs.

Willington and Washington both recorded ten wicket wins. Willington restricted Langley Park to 74 for five which included a top scoring 25 by Winn while in the Willington attack James Stock picked up a couple of wickets for 20 runs in five overs.

Responding, Willington also had Stock in form with the bat and he top scored with 39 which together with 28 by Lee Tinkler enabled Willington to win without losing a wicket.

Washington hosted Brandon and overtook the target of 112 without conceding one of their wickets. Thompson carried his bat for 63 with eight boundaries and Cuthbertson had three fours in 28 not out as Washington won with 1.3 overs remaining.

Batting first, Brandon made a useful 111 for nine which included 33 by Stephen Wallace who hit four fours and was credited with a five. Thompson top performed with the ball for Washington and in five overs took four wickets for only 12 runs while Cuthbertson returned three for 24 from the five overs he delivered.

There was a closer result at Etherley where Bishop Auckland won by just six runs. Batting first, Bishops ended with 114 for four on the board of which Barker scored 45 not out with six boundaries. Chris Moore took three of the four wickets to fall for just 22 runs in five overs before Etherley responded with 98 for four of which Moore made 24 with three boundaries and Christopher Smith an unbeaten 25. He found the boundary line on five occasions. Top performer with the ball for Bishop Auckland was Neverson whose three wickets were taken for just nine runs in five overs.

At Tudhoe, Mainsforth won by 33 runs. Although Daniel Potts scored 19, Tudhoe could only make 62 for eight as Williams returned three for 10, Beatty three for 15 and Dowson two for eight. The three bowlers all contributed five overs apiece.

Batting first, Mainsforth ended with 94 for four on the board which included 23 by Grieveson and 22 from Anderson.

Foster's Tyneside Senior League U15s

Sacriston romped to a ten wickets victory at home to Ryton when Mark Fort struck seven boundaries in an unbeaten 33 and Craig Burke also carried bat for 31, which included five fours.

Sacriston quickly posted 71 without loss after restricting Ryton to 67 for eight of which Thompson scored 26, with four boundaries and Fordham 21. He found the boundary line on a couple of occasions while for Sacriston, Craig Burke claimed three for one in two overs and Chris Tilley had two for 25 from the three overs he sent down.

Whickham overtook the Tantobie total of 108 losing just three wickets. Phillip Stewart top scored with 61 and Jeff Bowman ended undefeated on 32. Batting first, Tantobie, had Steven Fairish (25) and Mark Lee (23) in form but generally the batsmen found the bowling of Jeff Bowman difficult and he ended with the commendable figures of five for 20. Glen Scott, remained undefeated on 51, which included seven boundaries, when Greenside easily had the better of Annfield Plain. Batting first, the visitors realised 116 for the loss of seven wickets even though Chris Flowers took three for 38 and Graham Brinton two for 22, the pair each bowling five overs.

Replying, Annfield Plain were pegged to 65 for six of which Phillips top scored with 26. Rob Bell had a good night with the ball for Greenside, picking up three wickets for just nine runs in four overs and Toby College had two for 12 in a five over spell.

Burnopfield defeated Consett by seven wickets after restricting the Steelmen to 83 for three. Williamson top performed with the batt for Consett scoring 28 and for the home side Lee McVittie took two for 27 in four overs. Marcus Peart maintained his good form recording four boundaries in 27 not out and Malcolm Ashburn finished unbeaten on 29 hitting one six and five fours.

When Glen Harrison took four wickets for a mere five runs in four overs, Blaydon were all out for 39 in 14.3 overs at Lanchester who conceded only a couple of wickets before reaching the winning margin in 11 overs.

Crookhall just had the edge on Shotley Bridge. Batting first, Crookhall totalled 96 for the loss of just wickets with Paul Greenwell ending unbeaten on 31, hitting a couple of fours. Michael Thompson finished with 36 not out, with three boundaries before Shotley Bridge responded with 82 for five on the board. Stokoe was their top scorer with the bat, making 25 and for Crookhall Paul Greenwell completed a good night with two for 20 in five overs and Michael Thompson had two for 33 also in a five over spell.

Foster's Tyneside Senior League U18

The majority of games were washed out but Crookhall managed to play their fixture with Shotley Bridge and were rewarded with a ten wickets victory.

When Shotley Bridge made first use of the wicket they were reduced to 66 all out and almost half the runs were scored by Michael Grinter who contributed 31. David Richard and Daniel O'Sullivan both returned identical figures of three for 11 and Kyle Dettmar was also in good form with the ball for Crookhall collecting two at a cost of just 13 runs.

When Crookhall went in bat their openers dominated the Bridge attack and David Richardson quickly led his side to victory with a 48.

Durham Senior League Under 13s

ASummers hit 39 not out in Chester le Street's total of 143 for 5 against Horden.

In reply Horden were limited to 66 for 5 by accurate bowling in which David Martins 2 for 7 from four.
