Durham County U18 Youth League: A further meeting in relation to the above was held on Monday May 16 2003 and due to applications received it has been decided that the association will form a County U18 League to be played on Saturdays for 2003-4 season.
It is hoped that now this decision has been conformed other teams may well consider setting up an U18 section.
The League at present is seeking a sponsor for the league and has arranged a meeting for the clubs who have shown or show an interest, to be held on Monday July 7 2003 at the association headquarters.
This is a new and exciting opportunity for the clubs to either set up or continue playing football at U18 level on Saturdays.
The League is aware that several factors have resulted in clubs disbanding over the years one of which has been club members wishing to attend professional club fixtures and with this in mind it is expected to kick off time will be earlier than the traditional 2pm.
However, this will be left to the clubs themselves to decide at the aforementioned meeting.
Should any club be interested in this new venture please contact the Durham County FA on (0191) 3848653 to obtain an application form.
