Joanna Banks, who runs Jennings Brewery's Three Coopers' pub, in Bedale, with husband Jonathan, was recently crowned British Masters Champion in an over-40s competition in Livingston, Scotland.
The 41-year-old qualified for the Masters European Championships and will jet off to Hungary with the British squad next month.
Having come second in last year's British Masters, the triumph was her first national success after competing for two-and-a-half years.
"Winning the British Masters was a wonderful experience, and I am thrilled to be taking part in the Masters European Championships in Hungary," she said.
