Rocket launches, drag car racing and fashion shows were some of the highlights of an event to celebrate the potential of teenagers living in the Tees Valley.
The Celebrating our Potential show was held at the Oakwood Centre, Eaglescliffe, on Friday
As part of the Increased Flexibility programme more than 900 pupils from schools across the Tees Valley have been able to take work-related courses.
Schools have worked with colleges to provide a range of courses, including GCSEs, in subjects ranging from engineering to leisure and tourism.
Francis Annett, education research manager at the Learning and Skills Council, said: "The colleges, schools and pupils who have been involved with the Increased Flexibility programme have all worked hard to create the new courses.
"The high standard of work and commitment from pupils has been evident and we hope showed the positive results of vocational learning."
