The key match of the week in the darts and pool sections came when Cockton Hill entertained Ferryhill. These two teams occupied the top two places in both sections and the visitors managed to edge through to odd point victories in both. In the darts section Kevin Spensley put the home side ahead but Tony Nixon levelled. Rob Douthwaite restore the Hill's lead only to see Gary Taylor equalise. Phil Nixon moved the visitors ahead but ray Scott levelled. In the decider Ferryhill's Ray Brown beat Chris Kitch. This meant that Ferryhill moved one point clear of Crook Belle Vue and Cockton Hill.
In the pool section Cockton Hill had wins from Colin Britton and Dennis Race but the visitors went through with wins from Steve Webster, Simon Corbridge and Gary Taylor. This result pushed Ferryhill two points clear with the Victoria three points behind Cockton Hill.
Cockton Hill went three points clear at the top of the dominoes section with Crowtrees in second place, one point ahead of Crook Belle Vue and Chilton.
The darts marksmen last week were Alan Clarkson of Byers Green with two 180's whilst Alan Richardson of the Victoria, Paul Knighton of Crook Belle Vue, Colin Barron of Crowtrees, Joe Blakey of Willington Ray Brown and Lee Richardson of Ferryhill all hit one maximum.

Tow Law Coors
Sunniside Comedian pulled off a very good home win when they beat the visiting Newhouse Club, who currently hold the runners-up trophy, by the odd point. The triples were shared with a similar result coming in the singles when Ray Johnson, Peter Moore and Bill Railton won for the home side with Brian Atkin, Bill Jones and Steve Wilkie replying. The Comedian clinched their victory when they took the first two of three doubles.
Tow Law New Market A only dropped three points on their visit to Tow Law Dan's Castle to move two points behind their A team, who lead the league.
The Castle took one of the triples points and singles from Lee Furber and Anthony Hird. The New Market's points came from John Parkin, Billy Gray, Gary Parker and John Grahamn in the singles and they followed this by taking all three doubles.

Crook 4D's Mixed League
Crook Royal Sun maintained their unbeaten record in both the darts and dominoes when they beat the visiting Willington Brewer's Droop. However there was a complete change of fortunes for Crook Coach and Horses A for they lost in both sections to their B team.
The leading individual darts scorers were Jeff Sneath 180 and 140 for the Coach and Horses B, Paul Knighton 140 and 125 for the Royal Sun, Paul Morgan three 135's for the Coach and Horses A and Shona Britton 115 and 101, Davey Gallagher 120 and Tim Fleming 115 for the Brewer's Droop.

Crook Ladies League
Crook Cricket Club made a very good start to the new season when they beat the visiting runners-up, Tow Law New Market B by the odd point. The visitors had begun in good style and went 4-2 up after the singles. However the cricketers took the doubles by the odd point and went on to clinch victory by winning the double points team game.
Billy Row Royal George thought they had drawn the short straw by having to face the run-a-way league champions at Crook Queen's Head A but the visitors put up a very creditable performance by taking four points from their hosts.
Willington Black Horse resigned from the league before a dart was thrown, leaving Tow Law New Market A a bye.
The leading individual scorers in the first week were Jackie Walsh 140 for the Royal George, Marie Kenny 140 for the Station, Margaret Stewart 135 and 126 for the Queen's A, Michelle Blyth 134 for Billy Row B, Gloria Jones 133 and Helen Snowdon 126 for the Black Horse, Ann Varley 128 for the Travellers Rest, Julie Nelson 121 for Jelly's A and Wendy Reed 120 for the Victoria.
