Three sides share the leadership following Kirby Sigston's victory over East Harlsey.
Maltby are the other team on the same number of points and the trio have identical clean records.
The game of the day between East Harlsey and Kirby Sigston ended in favour of the visitors by a margin of two wickets. Batting first East Harlsey posted 148 for nine which included 28 by Hodgson and 21 from Hunter before he was run out. Hill added 26 batting in the middle order and a respectable score was realised even though Cowton took five wickets for just 55 runs.
In reply Kirby Sigston were given a very good send off by openers Rayner (28) and Lowther (38). Thompson, who went in at number three, added 31 before being run out, but thereafter runs were at a premium and the visitors' ninth pair was at the wicket when victory was achieved. Willey opened the bowling for East Harlsey and finished with two wickets for 62 runs while Mould, introduced as second change, picked up two wickets at the miserly cost of just 16 runs.
Maltby are also very much in contention for the title and they enjoyed a near 100 runs success at home to Skelton Castle. The visitors, facing a target of 238, were all out for only 146 as Baines took half of the wickets for only 35 runs and Cowan returned two for 25. R Stainthorpe opened the Skelton Castle innings scoring 24 and Pigg added 31 before Hurst, batting low in the order, contributed 28.
When they batted first Maltby lost their first two batsmen for a combined total of only 17 runs, but Francis, who went in at number three, carried his bat for a superb 98. Cowan added an undefeated 65 as the pair were involved in a century partnership for the unbroken fourth wicket and eventually a total of 237 for three wickets was realised.
Ingleby Greenhow recorded their third win of the season defeating neighbours Hutton Rudby by a couple of wickets. When they needed 184 runs for victory the home side were well served by openers Flintoff with 44 and Staples with 64. David Fawcett contributed 21 before Thompson carried his bat for 35 even though Alexander took four for 69 and Jung two for 47 in the Hutton Rudby attack.
When they made first use of the wicket the visitors ended with a respectable 183 for nine. Most of the runs came from Reid who opened the batting and added 66 and Rowe (37). Arthur Fawcett, a second change in the Ingleby Greenhow attack, was the top wicket taker claiming five victims for 65 runs and Jones also bowled a good end returning three for 61.
An undefeated century by Samarage and 65 by Marshall enabled Crathorne to mount a formidable 224 for four in their game at Chopgate, who responded with 153 for eight on the board. Holtby opened the Chopgate innings making 21 and Holmes contributed 26 before Cook became top scorer with 44 out of a total of 153 for eight. Leng took two for 30 and Clemmit two for 40 in the Crathorne attack.
Broughton and Kirby recorded an eight wickets success at Thimbleby who they restricted to 124 all out. The total would have been a good deal less but for an unbeaten 31 by Thompson who went in last.
Blayden had a good day with the ball for the visitors taking six wickets for 51 runs and Smith captured three for 45. Broughton and Kirby had no difficulty reaching the target even though they lost one of their opening batsmen for just a single run. Scott, who also went in first, made his way to 38 before he was caught and bowled and this brought Lewis and White together for the third wicket.
Lewis was the dominant force and he finished undefeated on 41 while White added a valuable 26 not out.
Kildale were all out for just 80 when they hosted Stafford Place. Jamie Peirson hit one six and four boundaries in 34 not out, but generally the batsmen were well contained by the Stafford Place attach in which Brent Smith captured six wickets for a mere 23.
In reply Stafford Place reached the low target in only 22 overs and conceded just two wickets. Mark Lawrence opened the innings and struck six fours in 32 while Steve Livingstone, who also went in first, made the game's top score of 39 hitting five boundaries.
Swainby are bottom of the table and the only side yet to taste success. They went down by ten wickets at Scruton when they were bowled out for just 62 which included 25 by Clement. Steve Brass took six wickets for just 22 runs and Brian Barritt had four for 27. Dave Barker then rattled seven fours ending 49 not out as a total of 63 without loss was achieved in 12.1 overs.
