PLANS for a bar and diner in Hartlepool will be discussed by councillors tomorrow.
Birotex Limited has applied to Hartlepool Borough Council for permission to change the use of Bovis House, Victoria Road, into a bar and diner.
The council has received one objection to the plan which includes concerns about possible congregation of taxis, severe disturbance to residents and lack of parking facilities.
A report to the planning committee said: "The area around the site is commercial in an area where uses of this type are considered appropriate.
"Residential accommodation is located some distance away from the area.
"Although it needs to be acknowledged vehicles and pedestrians could have an impact in the streets leading away from the town centre, during the late evening and early morning periods, it is considered the proposed use would fit in with established town centre uses."
The plan will be discussed at the meeting.
