YOUNG musicians from across the county will be performing at two special concerts this month.
The North Yorkshire Schools' Big Band will be working with world famous jazz trombonist, composer and musical educator Scott Stroman and his Jazz Band, from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, in preparation for the concert.
The performance, involving musicians from Thirsk, Scarborough, Ripon and Harrogate, will take place at Westborough Methodist Church, Scarborough, at 7.30pm on Friday.
The event will also feature leading trumpet player Marvin Stamm.
Tickets will be available at the door. For further information, call (01609) 532599.
The following day the band will be performing as part of the Youth Arts Festival in the grounds of Tadcaster Grammar School. Entry to the festival is £6 and tickets are available at the gate.
