A study into the building of a sports centre and athletics track in the Malton and Norton area has been delayed.

Ryedale district councillors have yet to decide how the study will be funded.

Councillor Elizabeth Shields wanted up to £50,000 to be set aside from the council's £500,000 community investment fund.

But at a recent meeting councillors said it should be up to the fund's panel to decide whether they administer the costs.
