Organisers of an open-air rock concert last summer have announced they are to stage a follow-up event.
Rock in the Quarry, at the old workings next to the A1 close to Barton, near Darlington, last July was a small-scale affair, attracting about 200 people.
However, those who enjoyed performances by 15 local bands were enthusiastic about another event - and their wish comes true at Forcett Park, near Richmond, North Yorkshire, on Saturday, July 19.
The first Forcett Festival will feature music aimed at a broader audience, including jazz, big band and blues, as well as modern material.
A free champagne bar will replace the burger stalls, while the programme also includes an air display, hot air balloons and a fireworks finale at about 1am.
The festival will be raising money for three charities - Cheshire Homes, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Ripon Community Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the latter in memory of local orthodontic surgeon and racing driver Mike Ryan.
