Shoppers were stunned to be asked questions by a disembodied human head.

The illusion at Hillstreet in Middlesbrough kicked off a programme of summer events at the centre with prizes on offer for customers.

The shopping centre will be featuring magic-based activities every Tuesday and Friday over the school holidays. Harry Potter face painting, entertainment from Mr Trix, magic from Jasper and Mr Merlin also feature in the programme of events.

All events are free and are held between 11am and 3pm.
